Following a successful test run of Lufthansa’s high-speed Internet Connexion by Boeing, the airline looks to expand the service to the rest of its long-haul fleet.
LUFTHANSA HAS CONTRACTED WITH CONNEXION BY BOEING TO EQUIP ITS ENTIRE LONG-HAUL FLEET WITH HIGH-SPEED INTERNET BROADBAND ACCESS. Lufthansa premiered its Connexion Internet service Jan. 15 onboard a B747-400 en route from Frankfurt to Washington Dulles. (See

http://www.businesstravelerusa.com/bte/archive.php.) Plans call for the installation of the Lufthansa-branded FlyNet in the airline’s fleet of 80 747-400s, A340s and A330s beginning early next year. The airline has not yet announced how much it will cost passengers to access the in-flight Internet connection.
