Deli-style meals will soon be available on US Airways—for a price.
US AIRWAYS PLANS TO INTRODUCE PAY-PER-MEAL SERVICE IN THE COACH CABIN ON FLIGHTS OF 700 MILES OR MORE. Dubbed In-Flight Cafe, the new service features a selection of deli-style meals. Priced at $7, one breakfast option features a blueberry-walnut muffin, fresh honeydew and mandarin orange salad, yogurt with low-fat granola on the side and a bottle of spring water. Lunch and dinner selections priced at $10 include options along the lines of a rosemary chicken breast, shredded Asiago cheese and romaine lettuce on a rustica hoagie roll with a side of Caesar sun-dried tomato dressing, a bowl of fresh seasonal fruit, potato chips, chocolate chunk cookie and a bottle of spring water.
