WHO Lifts Taiwan Travel Warning
The World Health Organization has removed its recommendation against non-essential travel to Taiwan.
by JONATHAN MCEWAN TODAY THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION REMOVED ITS RECOMMENDATION THAT TRAVELERS POSTPONE ALL BUT ESSENTIAL TRAVEL TO TAIWAN. In a notice posted on its Web site, http://www.who.org, it notes that the outbreak of SARS in Taiwan was taken very seriously, leading to a rapid improvement in Taiwan’s health infrastructure.
