Lufthansa Boosts Asia Service
With SARS no longer posing the threat it was a few months ago, Lufthansa announces the re-instatement of 19 weekly connections
by LISA MATTE IN LIGHT OF THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS’S RECENT ANNOUNCEMENT THAT THE SPREAD OF SARS APPEARS TO BE UNDER CONTROL, Lufthansa is re-instating previously suspended service to Asia. Effective this month, the carrier will once again offer a schedule of 19 weekly Lufthansa connections to major Chinese cities including five flights a week to Beijing, with daily services to Hong Kong and Shanghai. In August, Lufthansa expects to offer daily flights to all three cities.
