If you have the 802.11b card in your laptop, you can play it—on Sacramento International Airport’s new wireless Internet system.
SACRAMENTO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IS THE NEWEST ADDITION TO A GROWING LIST OF U.S. AIRPORTS OFFERING COMPLETE WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS. Dubbed Wi-Fi, wireless fidelity technology gives travelers access to the Internet from any point in Sacramento International Airport’s Terminals A and B. While a number of airports nationwide currently offer limited Wi-Fi access, Sacramento is among the first to extend access throughout its terminals. Travelers with Wi-Fi ready laptops (most laptops require the installation of an 802.11b card to access wireless technology) can now access the Internet where they will be directed to a Wi-Fi log-in page to purchase online time using a credit card.
